“Steps in Applying for a U.S. Student Visa or Canadian Study Permit”
Applying for a U.S. Student Visa or Canadian Study Permit is a very important step in preparing for further studies in the USA or Canada since it ties into immigration matters. If any mistakes are made during the application process then it could cause the application to be delayed or declined, which is unfavorable, since students need to ensure that they start their classes on time. The Student Support Services Division (SSSD) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports Affairs is going to demystify this process and is inviting students to attend the workshop entitled, “Steps in Applying for a U.S. Student Visa or Canadian Permit”.
This workshop will be held on May 10, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. at the University of St. Martin (USM). Students will be informed about the step by step process of applying for either the U.S. Student Visa or the Canadian Study Permit. The information that will be covered includes documents required for the application, the application forms, the preparations for the interview with a consular officer, and general tips to consider. Students can still attend this free session even if they have not yet received the acceptance letter or I-20 form from a school. The sooner students are aware of the steps to apply for the student visa or study permit, the more prepared they can feel during the process.
