The Cannegieter Street, starting from the Windward
Island Bank to the intersection of the St. Maarten Chamber of Commerce
(COCI) will become a Christmas haven for this upcoming festive season. The
3rd edition of the ‘COCI Christmas street fair is from 9 am- 7pm on Saturday
19th December 2015.
This is an ideal to visit the Philipsburg shopping area right before the
Christmas shopping rush to get some shopping done. With activities for the
kids, this fair is an ideal shopping opportunity for the entire family.
Residents and visitors are all invited to come out and enjoy a real
Caribbean spirit of Christmas.
“An estimated 40+ booths will be set up for vendors to offer attendees a
variety of local arts & crafts, food and beverages, jewelry, clothing,
accessories, toys and plenty of gift items to buy. Live entertainment and
other forms of entertainment will be offered through the day, with
performances of dance groups, choirs, fashion shows and so much more. A
special appearance from a very busy man; Father Christmas is expected to
wish everyone a very Merry Christmas” stated COCI President Ms. Peggy Ann
Brandon.
“As a COCI we are devoted to enhancing and supporting new and existing
businesses in the community and this is one way for businesses to showcase
their products and services. In executing our commitment to the community of
St. Maarten we will bring Christmas joy to all, specialized pavilions will
be established customized for our youngest residents and our more matured
residents. With a pavilions for the kids and one for the more matured COCI
hopes to bring an unforgettable Christmas experience ALL DAY LONG.
Vendors interested in obtaining a booth are urged to pick up an application
form at the COCI at C.A. Cannegieter Street #11, Philipsburg. Deadline to
submit forms are on Monday December 7th, 2015.
