ST. JOHN’S, Antigua – The West Indies Cricket Board has advised that it has approved a few changes to match venues and have updated a number of appointments of officials for the remaining matches in the WICB Professional Cricket League Regional 4-Day Tournament.
Warner Park in the St. Kitts capital of Basseterre will be the venue for the final two home matches of Leeward Islands Hurricanes against Barbados Pride in the eighth round from March 6 to 9 and Jamaica Franchise in the penultimate round from March 13 to 16.
Consequently, Whycliffe Mitchum and Calvin James will complete the match officials’ team for the fixture between the Hurricanes and the Pride as standby umpire and match referee, joining on-field umpires Danesh Ramdhanie and Zahid Bassarath.
Carl Tuckett, a former Leewards all-rounder, and Stuart Rawlins, standby umpire and match referee respectively, will then join Leslie Reifer Jr and Sri Lankan exchange umpire Raveendra Wimalasiri to complete the match officials’ list for the fixture between the Hurricanes and the Jamaica Franchise.
In another update of the match officials’ appointments, Shannon Crawford will perform standby duties for the eighth round match between hosts Guyana Jaguars and visiting Jamaica Franchise at the Guyana National Stadium, joining the on-field pair of Nandkumar Shivsankar and Reifer, and match referee Colin Stuart, the former Guyana and West Indies fast bowler.
The Tournament resumes next Friday following a one-week break.
