Firefly Family Fireworks will commence with the sale of fireworks today (Monday, December 29) from 12:00pm until 6:00pm. The sale of fireworks will continue until December 31 or until supplies last. Sales on Tuesday and Wednesday will run from 10:00am until 6:00pm. Firefly will occupy the same open area next to the Little League Ballpark in Philipsburg for the sale of fireworks.
Customers, who have to be 21 years of age or older to make a purchase, can expect some old favorites but also new fun products. “Assorted packs were very well received and popular last year so we have brought those back. Big sellers were products like the Excalibur, the King assortment packs, Rocket Assault, Magical Wizard, our reloadable shells such as the Private Stash and the all famous Cutting Edge firecracker rolls,” Firefly team member Michanou Arrundell said.
“With the high demand, we have brought in more of everything so we encourage our loyal to come over to our sales location early to get there favorite fireworks. We also have new assorted packs especially appealing to kids such as Neon Lights and the Killer Value Assortment. Firecrackers start at $2.00,” she added.
Firefly will emphasize safety under their theme “Keep it in the Family, Keep it Safe”, with strict rules and guidelines that will be enforced when purchasing fireworks. Arrundell advised that everyone should walk with valid identification since certain 20-something-year-olds might not exactly look it. Even to purchase children oriented products, the person must be 21 years of age or older. Three sales areas/booths will also be available.
Arrundell reminded potential customers that they are expected to be safe and responsible with where and how they are lighting fireworks. As such, Firefly will continue its practice of including safety guidelines in the sales bags of every purchase. She also reminded the public that they are not allowed to light any firecrackers in the public roads and parents should not allow their children to handle fireworks without supervision.
“We actually prefer if the parent handle the fireworks and the children watch and enjoy from a distance,” she said. Customers are prohibited from lighting any fireworks in the vicinity of the sale booths. Neither are customers allowed to smoke or have any open flame in the vicinity of the booths.
Firefly has also partnered with Fun Miles again this year, affording customers the possibility redeem their Fun Miles for fireworks. The sale of fireworks is via cash or miles only, there is no Maestro (swipe ATM card) available
