On Tuesday, December 2, 2014, the Council of Ministers (COM) received the traditional courtesy visit of the contestants participating in the 24th edition of the Miss Caraïbes Hibiscus Pageant.
Present to welcome the young ladies were Deputy Prime Minister Hon. Dennis Richardson, Minister of Education, Culture, Youth & Sports Affairs Hon. Patricia Lourens-Philip, Minister of Finance Hon. Martin Hassink, Minister of Public Housing, Spatial Planning, Environment & Infrastructure Hon. Maurice Lake and Minister of Public Health, Social Development & Labor Hon. Cornelius de Weever.
Each contestant received a bag with Sint Maarten promotional items provided by the Tourism Bureau. The contestants are on island for a whole week. The final event is on Saturday, December 6 at Casino Royale in Maho.
