The Honorable Minister of Public Health, Social Development & Labor Affairs is proud to announce the start of the “Taking total control through budgeting” program on Friday November 21st 2014, at the various Help Desks. The FREE weekly training program consists of 8 interactive sessions, presented by dynamic and engaging presenters, including: “An introduction to budgeting”; “Nutrition on a budget”; “Insurance and savings” “Knowing your Self-worth”; and 2 live demonstration on “Healthy cooking on a low budget”. The main objective of the “Taking total control through budgeting” program is to empower participants to effectively manage personal finances, recognize and evaluate spending habits and implement corrective actions where necessary. Additionally, the “Taking control through budgeting” workshops will be held at the various Community Help Desk on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7pm to 9pm. Course materials and workbooks will be provided. By the end of the program, participants are able to apply knowledge, tools and strategies to achieve financial goals and take charge of their health and well-being. Participants that successfully attended and completed the modules will receive a certificate of completion.
