Gonzalo Pushes POWER HOUR Back!

POWER HOUR to be a part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2014!

Hurricane Gonzalo, which passed over St. Maarten on Monday, October 13, 2014, has forced Foundation INFOBIZZ to reschedule the POWER HOUR which was going to be held on October 17, 2014. The POWER HOUR will be now integrated into the activities marking the Global Entrepreneurship Week from November 17-23, 2014.

The community of the St. Maarten/ St. Martin and the team of Foundation INFOBIZZ are all recovering in the aftermath of the surprisingly powerful category 1 Hurricane Gonzalo.  With one casualty, homes without roofs, cars destroyed from fallen trees, and severe water damage INFOBIZZ urges all of the participants to focus on what is most important which is ensuring that they have fully recuperated from the effects of this hurricane and are properly prepared for the season. Also, for those that did not sustain much damage, they are encouraged to help those with contrasting experiences.

POWER HOUR will be a part of the GLOBAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP WEEK (GEW) which is from November 17-23, 2014.  Tickets previously purchased remain valid. “Though we are adjusting to the effects of Gonzalo, as is everyone else, we are still passionate about providing a unique and dynamic platform to develop successful entrepreneurs.  The POWER HOUR was born during the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2013 on November 23.  It has since grown into a networking event which ignites people to start their businesses while connecting them to those that are willing to help in this crucial phase.  This is the spirit in which we want to participate in the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2014”, Ife Badejo, director of INFOBIZZ stated.

During this week, St. Maarten will be among more than 140 countries around the world assisting entrepreneurs to start and grow their businesses through various activities and inclusion of entrepreneurial leaders. This year, two international entrepreneurs are confirmed: Dr. Will Moreland (USA), whose mission is to develop 10 000 entrepreneurs and Kenton Lord (Trinidad) a serial entrepreneur under 30 years of age who graduated from Florida Institute of Technology in Accounting and has 2 internet based businesses.  Also, various dynamic local successful entrepreneurs will be sharing their tips while inspiring and empowering those that dare to live their dreams.

While INFOBIZZ is gearing up for the best and biggest participation St. Maarten has had in the Global Entrepreneurship Week to date, the team wishes everyone a safe duration of the season and looks forward to their participation and support during GEW 2014 (November 17-23, 2014).
