The President of Parliament Hon. drs. Gracita Arrindell recently received a visit from the Integrity Pilot Group that has been installed by His Excellency Governor drs. Eugene Holiday.
Chairman of the Integrity Pilot Group M. Oosting introduced his fellow members, namely, Professor J. Saleh, and M. Alexander, and members of his Secretariat S. Ricardo and P. Benschop.
The meeting was very informative and enlightening.
Oosting reiterated the content of the Royal Decree signed by the King and pointed out that the House of Parliament as a High Council of State is excluded from the research that is being carried out, however it doesn’t mean that there can’t be discussions related to integrity.
The Integrity Pilot Group aims to have their research completed within six months.
President of Parliament Hon. Gracita Arrindell stated that she looks forward to the outcome of the research which will help to solidify the way forward in dealing with integrity issues in our young country, and in building the country’s institutions of governance.
"The process will require the input of all those involved as well as of the general public. A change in mind set is necessary for integrity to become a way of life," President of Parliament Hon. Gracita Arrindell stated.
