The fifty members of the first ever UK Youth Parliament are known. They will be part of a team and individually participate in this event, which will take place from 19 . Till May 23, 2014 in St. Maarten The fifty young people from all parts of the Kingdom, will debate about their common future . What the Kingdom offers citizens the concrete is about education, work , culture and security?
From 1 October, about 150 young people signed up through www.koninkrijksjeugdparlement.org with a submitted film . In that movie they told something about themselves and gave their views on the Kingdom . All films are shown on the website.
An expert and kingdom -wide jury of experienced debaters , ( former ) directors , ( former) politicians and especially young people has considered all submissions . That was not easy. First, the number of entries was great and they were generally of very high quality . Initiator Ron van der Veer : " We could easily fill a hundred seats in parliament . We have difficult choices to make , and it was often very difficult, but I ‘m sure there are five outstanding teams are selected. "
The jury not only to quality of content , but also to persuasion , creativity and passion . In addition, attention was paid to the widest possible distribution of the different countries and islands.
