The renovation of the island governor’s official residence is the second building project of the Rijksgebouwendienst Caribbean Netherlands that is a trainee construction site. For two SGB pupils of the TMA-training a work training place is made available. In the coming months they will be guided on the construction site by C.T. Marchena, which will soon be acknowledged as a learning company and competent master.

After the completion of the island governor’s official residence follows a period of decorating. After this, the island governor of Bonaire can make use of the house, which was originally built for the island governor. By then, the building will be completely renovated and adapted to the requirements of a modern and secure home. The property is also suitable for receptions, organized by the island governor.
