The D-License coaching course organized by CONCACAF took place in Aruba from 12th to the 15th of September. This training is part of a programme of development throughout the confederation to raise the future standards of play and provide a base qualification and path for coaches to follow. This comes at a perfect timing since the Oualichi WST Association has been planning to set up a girls team to continue its goals to develop opportunities for females in the field of sports and especially soccer. The Oualichi WST board has thus decided that now is the perfect opportunity to end the gender gap in soccer and start a new girls team for girls ages 6 to 12 years old. Coach Dagmar Daal will head the team with the assistance of Ms. Bommel and Ms. Pieraarts, all female coaches, who are willing to provide the possibility of training to Sint Maarten future girls soccer players. Registration for the girls team is now open. Contact oualichisoccer@gmail.com for more information.
