On Monday April 22nd at approximately 07.00 p.m. members of the Police Bike patrol were sent to the A.C. Wathey Cruise Facilities to investigate a report of a missing male tourist who came to the island on board of the cruise vessel "Explorer of the Seas". This ship which was in port was to depart the island that same evening at 09.00 p.m. On the scene the investigating officers learnt that an 82 year old American tourist with the initials L.J.R. who suffers from "Alzheimer" had been missing since about 05.00 p.m. that evening. A search of the area was done at that time however he was not located. A second search was initiated by the bike patrol and shortly after the victim was found lying on the ground next to an excavator on an enclosed lot of land of the Cruise facilities. The victim was quite dehydrated and was treated on the scene by medical personnel of the cruise line after boarding the ship.
