BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS (CUOPM) – The St. Christopher Air and Sea Ports Authority (SCASPA) is reporting double digit increases in passenger arrivals and imports of cargo at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport in St. Kitts in March this year compared to the same period last year.
Figures from SCASPA’s Department of Finance & Statistics indicate that 12,874 passengers arrived in March 2013 compared to 11,038 in 2012, an increase of 16.63 percent.
The department is also reporting a 9.35 percent increase in passenger departures, up 12,737 in March this year compared to 11,556 passengers in March 2012.
Inward bound cargo at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport registered a whopping 47.08 percent increase in March 2013, moving from 24 tons in 2012 to 35.30 tons in 2013.
Cargo exported from St. Kitts dropped 1.64 percent in 2013, down from 28.25 tons compared to 28.72 tons in 2012.
