St John’s, Antigua – The Jamaica Cricket Association has joined its fellow regional Territorial Boards in congratulating newly elected West Indies Cricket Board President Dave Cameron and Vice President Emmanuel Nanthan.
In a letter to President Cameron and Vice President Nanthan, Honorary Secretary of the JCA Fritz Harris wrote: "The Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA) is excited about your recent election to the positions of President and Vice President respectively of the West Indies Cricket Board as despite your success coming at a time when challenges are varied and many, we are confident based on the clear vision enunciated in your Manifesto and your proven ability, that you both pack the necessary tools to get the job done against the most formidable opposition."
"We encourage you Mr. President and Mr. Vice President to be inclusive, uniting, inspiring and fair. We at the JCA commit to be always at the ready to fully support your initiatives and endeavours as we join hands in continuing the re-building of the great West Indian product and the development of cricket as an industry in the region," Harris added.
The JCA also thanked out-going WICB President Dr. Julian Hunte for his service.
"The JCA also wish to extend our appreciation to outgoing President Dr. Julian Hunte who served with success for six years. We wish for Dr. Hunte all the very best as he embark on endeavours of his choice," Harris wrote.
