"Hope to see them Back Soon on St. Maarten Under Different Circumstances"
The Prime Minister of St. Maarten the Honorable Sarah Wescot-Williams expressly thanked all of the individuals, companies and the community at large for being welcoming to the stranded cruise ship passengers from the Carnival Dream Cruise Liner. "I am proud of the people of St. Maarten for how they have come together to lend a helping hand and to support the stranded passengers. We have again shown that St. Maarten still is indeed the "friendly Island," stated the PM.
The Government of St. Maarten provided logistical support and services in order to assist carnival in ensuring that the comfort of the passengers and crew remained a top priority. Technical assistance was also provided by the Ministry of Public Housing, Spatial Development, Environment and Infrastructure in coordination with the St. Maarten Port Authority.
"From what I understood the stranded passengers have regarded the extra time spent on St. Maarten as a treat. Once again I would like to thank all business, including especially the Harbor Group of Companies, the St. Maarten Police Department, the management and staff of the Princess Juliana Airport, NV, the Department of Maritime and Shipping Affairs, Maduro and Sons, Checkmate Security, Menzies Aviation, the various Tour Bus Companies, Clean St. Maarten, and Delta Airlines."
"To the passengers I would like to say that I hope that they have enjoyed their stay and we all hope to see them back very soon and under different circumstances," commented the Prime Minister of St. Maarten the Honorable Sarah Wescot-Williams.
