The seminar: "Checks and Balances in Curaçao on Corporate Governance", which was held yesterday in Kura, attracted considerable interest from more than 125 directors, auditors and other interested parties. The seminar was organized by the Financial Supervision (CFT), the Foundation Office Supervision and Standards Government Entities (SBTNO) and the Dutch Caribbean Accountants Association (DCAA), with the aim to raise awareness of the Code of Corporate Governance and increase the obligations of entities, where the monitoring role of the accountant is, to illuminate.

The participants received a detailed explanation of the Ordinance and the Code on Corporate Governance Corporate Governance, through the speakers Erik Angels and Marloes Kempes (CFT), Donald Palm (SBTNO), André Delger (DCAA) and guest speaker Charles Frielink. The minimization of the interference of the shareholder in the business was a topic that received considerable attention.
It was concluded that the cooperation of all stakeholders and agencies relevant to the proper implementation of the Code and compliance with the Regulation and the Code.
