The Water Services Department in St. Kitts has embarked on a project to replace the 23-year-old four-inch PVC pipeline in Keys Village.

Manager and Engineer of the department, Mr. Cromwell Williams said the four-inch pipes laid around 1990 are being replaced with a larger 6-inch Ductile Iron Pipe.

"This replacement has become necessary due to the frequent breaks that develop on this line," Mr. Williams said Monday.

The estimated cost is EC$40,000.
