In continuation of the 2012 St. Martin Pony League Youth Baseball competition the Sandy Ground Mariners and the Cul de Sac Padres have both use good pitchers to dominate youth baseball of the past week end. The French St. Martin team Sandy Ground played against the French Quarter Tigers and dominated the game in all the innings. Already from the second inning the Mariners went ahead and were not possible to be reached.
Both pitcher Joan Gomez and the strong batting order of Sandy Ground was too much to deal with. Sandy Ground out-classed the French Quarter team with the score of 14 – 11. In the other game of the week end the Cul de Sac Padres also demonstrated that they too wants to govern the second place of the Chart when their pitcher Paul Sanchez pitch a good game to come from behind and stunned the first place seaters St. James Yankees with the score of 14 – 10. Even though St. James batter Felix Noel connected a three run homerun it was not enough for a victory. With these wins both the Cul de Sac Padres and the Sandy Ground Mariners are now in serious position to claim second place. Next game will be Sandy Ground v/s Dutch Quarter Dodgers.
