St. Maarten Cable TV’s Madame Estate location will continue its Saturday office hours for one more weekend to accommodate customers who are switching to digital service. On Saturday, 21, 2012, the office will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This will be the last Saturday before May 1, 2012 that the main office will be open. As of April 17th, the last area which is Point Blanche became ready for digital service so essentially.
The second office location at the Mail Box at the Palapa Center, across from RBTT Bank will continue to accept customers on Saturdays throughout the digital box project. Customer service representatives are available at that office to process digital swaps, new accounts and other digital inquiries. The location at the Mailbox processes bank cards transactions (credit or debit cards) and check payments. Hours of operation at this location will continue to be Monday to Friday: 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Beulah Jonis, Managing Director for St. Maarten Cable TV stated, "We encourage customers in all areas who have not switched to digital to do so as soon as possible before we stop transmitting the analog signal at the end of the month. At this time we are encouraging everyone who has not converted to digital to do so."
St. Maarten Cable TV staff is aware that there are some service issues related to faulty wiring at the customer’s location. The Company acknowledges that there is currently a backlog with service but resources are being put in place to address any delays. Customers who are experiencing service problems should contact the office at 542-4361.
