On Sunday April 15th at approximately 03.30 a.m. a Simpson bay patrol, while driving on the Airport Boulevard in the vicinity of Thrifty Car Rental and heading in the direction of Cole bay, saw a Toyota Yaris with license plate P2207 coming from the opposite direction, driving at very high speed and swinging from left to right.
To avoid a collision with this vehicle the patrol pulled off the road. At the same time the driver of the oncoming vehicle lost control of the vehicle and struck the concrete wall of Thrifty Car Rental. The patrol immediately went to the aid of the occupants of the vehicle and realized that three of the four persons in the car were injured. The driver and the passenger on the front suffered wound to their head and face. One passenger on the backseat complained of pain in his right hip. The victims were treated on the scene by paramedics and then taken to the Sint Maarten Medical Center for further treatment. This case is under investigation by the Police traffic department.
