Offices In Statia To Be Moved, For Better Services

The Island Government of St. Eustatius is in the process of creating a more conducive environment for it’s workers to be able to function optimally.

To accomplish this goal the action has been taken to move the following offices/services:

-The Island Governor Mr. Gerald Berkel and Staff moved temporarily to the building of the former

Governors Residence on the Van Tonningen weg;

– The Island Secretary, Mr. Jan Helmond and his Staff moved to the building of the Former Governors

Residence on the Van Tonningenweg;

 

-The Commissioners, Mr. Clyde van Putten and Mr. Glenville Schmidt and their support staff moved to

the Godette House on the Kerkweg;

-The Griffier, Mr. Louis van Allemeide and staff will move to the Building in the Government Guest yard,

where the office of the Island Secretary was housed;

– The Economic Affairs Department will be established in the building known as the Voges house on the

Breede weg. This Department will be Headed by Mrs. Arlene Spanner-Schmidt;

-The Department of Legal Affairs, Headed by Monique Brown-James and Staff moved to building where

BZV was formerly housed ;

-The Coalition Members will be housed on the ground floor of the Government Guesthouse;

-The Members of the Opposition will be housed in the building known as Park Place, opposite the cool

corner;
