TelEm Group will be carrying out an important cutover of subscriber lines in the Philipsburg area between 9:00 am and 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 19, 2011.
Residential and business customers in the Philipsburg area are advised that due to the above-mentioned works there will temporary interruptions to fixed landline, data and internet services.
Wednesday’s works are the 2nd phase of TelEm Group’s transfer of customer lines in the Philipsburg area from an outdated DMS 100 digital switch to a more modern CS2K Softswitch.
Approximately 700 customers will be affected for brief periods during the time of the transfers.
Similar operations have been carried out in Dawn Beach, Belvedere, Ebenezer, Simpson Bay, Cole Bay and in some parts of Philipsburg.
Upon completion of Wednesday’s cutover, only one phase in Philipsburg will remain to complete the island-side TelEm Group cutover project.
