International Referee Refresher Course

An International Referee Refresher Course was conducted at the FIVB Regional Development Center in the Dominican Republic from Wednesday August 18th to Sunday August 22 .

A total of 14 referees from 11 countries namely Bonaire, Curaçao, Panama, Nicaragua, French St. Martin, Dutch St. Martin, St. Eustatius, Jamaica, Honduras, Costa Rica and hosts the Dominican Republic are taking part in the five-day course. The first three days theoretical sessions were conducted and on the two last days practical sessions and evaluations were held during the 2010 Dominican Republic Junior Womens Championship.

 

The main objectives of the FIVB’s Refereeing Courses are to train national and international referees as well as to improve and update referees’ knowledge and competence of Volleyball and Beach Volleyball rules, according to the most recent trends of Volleyball and Beach Volleyball.

International Referee Mr. Reginald Willemsberg also participated in this course.
