Students injured during car accident

The traffic department and police patrol was dispatched to the L.B Scott road early Wednesday morning around 07.00 am, for a traffic accident where two minors were been struck by a car. According to the information gathered, the two students were hit by the driver of a black Elantra with the number plate M-5454 while crossing the road L.B Scott road near the Star Mart gas station. The 13 year old who suffered minor injuries, was treated on the scene. The Ambulance transported the 16 year old student to the St.Maarten Medical Center for treatment due to the lacerations he suffered after having the vehicle ride over his feet.
Driver of the Elantra with the initials A.J.F was later arrested and brought over to the police station in Philipsburg for driving while being intoxicated. The Traffic department is busy investigating this accident.
