Ministry of Public Housing, Environment, Spatial Development and Infrastructure (Ministry VROMI), announces to the businesses and residents that the clean-up of Great Bay Beach and Promenade will commence on Thursday, September 26.
The clean-up is related to the large amount of seaweed and debris that washed ashore from the passing of Tropical Storm Karen.
Even though Karen passed well south of the country, the southerly swells from the storm still impacted the southern coastal areas of the country.
Pedestrians are being advised not to use the boardwalk between 6.00AM until 4.00PM due to the use of heavy equipment. The work will take approximately two-days.
