Arrest made during routine control

On Thursday 20th June during a routine traffic control, patrol officers pulled over a vehicle, which was in violation of the tint laws, in the vicinity of the Rhine Road. During the control officers noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, suspect J.E.F confessed to having 9 marijuana baggies in his pocket.
The vehicle was subjected to a search and a hand bag was found in the middle console with what appeared to be a fire arm. Upon further inspect of the weapon officers discovered it was a fake (toy) gun disguised to look like a real weapon. The suspect was placed under arrest and brought to the Philipsburg Police station for further questioning.
