STATIA VERDICT

ST. EUSTATIUS – During a meeting between the Public Prosecutor and suspect C.W. (43) on January 15th, 2019, C.W. was offered a conditional dismissal for the illtreatment of a family member A.V.B.

C.W. attacked A.V.B. with a machete. Fortunately the injuries were minor. C.W. was ordered to carryout 40 hours of community service. The Public Prosecutor’s Office BES opted for a conditional dismissal, because C.W. is a first offender and the injury was minor. C.W. has in the meantime accepted and signed off on the conditional sentence.
