TelEm Group Internet performance back to normal following fiber cable repairs in USA.

TelEm Group internet services were back to “normal performance” from approximately 9:20 pm Monday evening, following repair of a damaged fiber cable in Jacksonville, Florida, USA, earlier in the day.

The cable operators in Jacksonville said two pits had to be excavated to gain access to the damaged fiber cable which then had to be spliced in two parts.

The repairs are temporary however, to enable the proper functioning of telecommunication carriers affected, including TelEm Group and its customers.

As of 9:20 pm Monday night, immediately after the connection was restored, TelEm Group internet customers began experiencing better performance of their internet services. The company meantime, apologized to customers for the inconvenience of having reduced performance of their internet service Monday.
