United States Consulate General Organized Mid-Term Election Night Event

United States Consul General Margaret Hawthorne welcomed cabinet members, parliamentarians, government officials, entrepreneurs, other invited guests, and about 100 students into Roosevelt House to celebrate the United States’ mid-term election.

In her remarks, Consul General Hawthorne stated “voting is important because the right to vote freely for your government is at the core of democracy. It gives the people the ability to help decide not just the things their government does but also their and their children’s futures.”
While keeping an eye on the election returns on big screens, guests enjoyed typical Americanstyle food, and played election themed games, including an energetic round of trivia.

We thank and recognize all of the candidates who answered the call to serve their country, and the many Americans here who voted.
