The Progress Committee paid a working visit to the Chairperson of Parliament

The Progress Committee paid a working visit to the Chairperson of Parliament, Mrs. Sarah Wescot-Williams and briefed the chairlady on their work and findings. As is known, 2 areas of responsibilities still examined by the Progress committee are the prison system and the police organization on St. Maarten, both which are critical to our justice system. Given the concerns addressed the Committee, it has been agreed that they would be invited to brief Parliament on their work and the 2 aforementioned areas. This meeting will most likely take place in March.
