In UPG’s ongoing effort to increase the strength of St. Maarten, their newly spawned 365SXM is to promote Sint Maarten culture, tourism, and uniqueness. 365SXM would like to introduce First Annual SXM Choice Awards Ceremony, which is for launch on February 1st, 2017. SXM Choice Awards are for both the Dutch and the French site of the island.
The Choice Awards have a low threshold -open for everybody- character. The purpose is anyone, whether a tourist, business visitor, individual people from St. Maarten, businesses, will be able to list nominees and to vote on nominees from a large list of categories.
The First Annual SXM Choice Awards will be an awards ceremony aimed at recognizing and showing appreciation to key individuals, organizations as well as businesses for their noteworthy contributions to the island of Sint Maarten. Our guests of honor will be the top 3 highest voted candidates nominated in each category by the general public of Sint Maarten.
The First Annual SXM Choice Awards will be a well-publicized event showcasing and highlighting key individuals, organizations and businesses on their quality of products and services which have become an essential part of our Sint Maarten culture.
The selection process for nominations and voting is as follows
The Top 20 nominations will advance to second round of voting. At the end of the second round, the top 10 nominations will advance to the third and final round. At the end of the final round, the top three will then be invited to the award ceremony as our guests of honor.
Nominations will begin as of February, 1st 2017. The voting deadlines is as follows:
– The first round of voting March 1st, 2017 until April 11, 2017 – Second round of voting starts on April 12th, 2017 until May 11th, 2017 – Final round of voting starts on May 12th, 2017 until June 16th, 2017
