Ministry VROMI commences with Road Patching and Recapping Program

Ministry of Public Housing, Environment, Spatial Development and Infrastructure (Ministry VROMI), announces that on Wednesday, January 25, it commenced with a road patching and recapping program.

 

The road works will be carried out during the hours of 8.00pm to 5.00am.

 

The following areas have been identified along with the date when these works will be carried out:

 

January 25, intersection Sucker Garden road and St. James Road, Oyster Pond Road, ending area intersection Middle Region Road and Hulda B Richardson Road;

 

January 26, Intersection A.Th. Illidge road (Mount Willem Hill) and Middle Region Road;

 

January 29th through January 31st entire Coralita Road

February 1st through February 6th, Arch Road (Zoo area) through Madame Estate Road ending section Watling Road;

February 7th through February 9th sections Cannegieter Street, intersection Walter Nisbeth Road, Percy Labega Road, ending section Octavius L. Richardson Road.

 

All works consist of milling and recapping and will be executed on half of the road network allowing motorists to continue to drive on the section not being worked on at the time.  Some areas may experience closure which is dependent on heavy equipment and motorists utilizing the roads simultaneously.

The company contracted and responsible for carrying out the works is Windward Roads.
