During Wednesdays Council Of Minsters Press briefing, Minister of VSA Emil Lee, said that his Ministry has presented a proposal for the National Health Insurance (NHI) legislation which was sent to the Council of Ministers.
He stated that the Council of Ministers have agreed that the draft legislation could begin it’s consultative process. “The idea of a National Health Insurance is that we look at covering all the people on the island, but we need to make sure that it’s done in a financially reasonable matter “.
“If someone has an interest in having a discussion about it, then please contact the Ministry, because we are open to the discussions, and in the end we want it to be a win-win for everyone”. said Minister Lee.
