St. Peters Sewage Line Connection

The St. Peters house connection project is continuing with the preparation of the main road for the installation of the main sewer lines.

The physical installation of the main sewer lines will be carried out in phases. Phase 1 will be the installation of sewer lines from LB Scott road to the St. Peters Bridge. Phase two will be the installation of the sewer lines from the direction of St. Peters up until the St. Peters Bridge. Phase 3 will be the installation of the sewer lines under the bridge to connect phase 1 and 2.

The general contractor Designer’s Choice NV is busy cutting the road in preparation of the installation of the main sewer lines which will be conducted in the weekends in order to avoid adding more congestion to the school traffic.

Once the main sewer line from the St. Peters road is connected to the L.B. Scott road sewer line, all the homes adjacent to the St. Peters main road will be connected to the main sewer line in the St. Peters road.

The connection will allow further transport of waste water to the waste water treatment plant on A. TH. Illidge road. With the connecting of the homes to the main sewage lines, the existing issues of running sewage water on St. Peters road will be eliminated.

Presently works are also been carried with the preparatory works for the hard surfacing of the main trench adjacent to the main road of St. Peters.

The public will be informed accordingly in the case of road closures. The entire project is expected to be completed ‎within a period of 6 months.
