Police find and confiscate fire-arm

On Sunday January 17th at approximately 03.50 a.m. during a routine patrol a police patrol noticed a group of men standing on a parking lot of Dannaway’s Medical Center located on the Airport Boulevard.

The patrol drove onto the parking lot in order to control what was going on. When these men noticed the patrol intended to approach them they immediately stepped into a grey colored vehicle and drove off.

The patrol noticed that prior to stepping into the vehicle and driving away one of the men became quite suspicious and hid an unknown object between the plants on the parking lot. The patrol continued to investigate the situation and found a white, red and black striped shirt between the two G.E.B.E. meter boxes on the premises. The patrol picked up the shirt and realized that a GLOCK 45 caliber pistol containing a clip with 10 bullets was wrapped in the shirt. This gun and ammunition was immediately confiscated for further investigation.

A search of the area for the possible suspects in this case was unsuccessful; however one more fire-arm is off the streets. The investigation into this case will continue to locate the possible suspects.
