USFOL Volunteers Commemorate Monsignor Amada Romer at SEDA

Recently, seven volunteers from the U.S. Forward Operating Location (USFOL) visited the Siloam Orphanage and assisted with various manual labors.  The volunteers devoted four hours of time cleaning, landscaping, and rehabilitating the soccer field, as well as interacting and playing with the children.  Siloam provides for children with a variety of needs–from toddlers who have been abandoned to children who have mental and physical disabilities.
In early December, eight volunteers from the USFOL visited SEDA and assisted with gift wrapping as well as SEDA’s first annual carnival “Day of Happiness and Surprise for Kids” for kids up to twelve years old to commemorate Monsignor Amado Romer’s birthday. The children were pampered with gifts, including coloring books and pencils.
For years, the USFOL has worked with community organizations like SEDA to demonstrate d their long standing appreciation for the hospitality received from the citizens of Curaçao.
