THE ST. MARTIN PONY LEAGUE PRESENTED ITS 2016 GIRLS 14-U CARIBBEAN BASIN SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT .

In connection with the islands program of Sport Tourism and Pony Softball Inc. girls softball program for the Caribbean area, the St. Martin Pony Baseball/Softball League presented its bid for the hosting of next year girls softball for the Caribbean Basin in the recently held Caribbean Zone Meeting in Aruba. Its is the intention of the St. Martin Pony League that by hosting such a tournament that St. Martin get a slice of the pie of Virginia’s Girls Softball Tournament. As it stand now Virginia enjoys tournaments with participation of some 200 teams . So far the league received confirmation of teams from Curacao, Aruba, Guatemala, Panama, Colombia, Texas , Louisiana, South Carolina, Dominican Republic, St. Croix, Bahamas and Venezuela. Pony Head Office will be providing assistance of umpires, field directors, and scorers. It is the intention of the league to have games on both sides of the island. Pony Softball Inc. and the St. Martin Pony League are hoping that St. Martin could become the host center for Girls Softball in the Caribbean and Pony Head office is willing to assist the St. Martin Pony League in whatever form they can. Both Governments has been served with a written notice explaining the intentions. The St. Martin girls are in full training in preparation for this tournament.
