JCI speech contest winner

On Saturday October 10th 2015 Ms Dshnay Mathew York from Charlotte Brookson performance of Art Academy captured the first JCI LIVE Soualiga speech contest held at the University Of St Maarten,the participating schools had to prepare a speech on the following topic”The Relevance of Youth Participation in Social Responsibility Projects.The contest was very tight and challenging  and showed how great youth speakers we have on the island. The contestants are Hanaya Merlet 3rd place from Learning Unlimited Preparatory School,Serenity Martinus 2nd place from Charlotte Brookson performance of Art Academy. D’shnay York will now fly to Curaçao and represent St Maarten in the JCI Dutch Caribbean Youth Speech contest schedule for this coming week national convention.Ms York is very excited to be representing her island once more and said she will be performing to the best of her ability not only representing herself and school Charlotte Brookson school of performing arts but also the people of the island.Winning this show her prize was all expense paid for her to fly to curaçao and to represent the island Ms york will be flying with incoming JCI LIVE president Delmarie York-Cornelius and VP Mr. Anthony Mc Clean.
