Rotary Club of St Martin Sunrise received five awards for their performance over the 2014 – 2015 Rotary year during the latest district conference held in Jamaica.
The awards received are:
The Club of the Month Gold Award;
The District Governor Award for Excellence-Bronze;
The Certificate of Merit for maintaining an outstanding club Facebook page and
The Zone 34 – Public Image Citation, in recognition of the work in developing a public image plan and the initiation of public relations activities that will enhance the visibility of the club in the community.
The club also received their first ever Area of Focus Platinum Award for service efforts in six Areas of Focus:
- ‘Promoting Peace’ – Peace and Conflict Resolution
- ‘Fighting Disease’ – Disease Prevention and Treatment
- ‘Providing Clean Water’ – Water and Sanitation
- ‘Saving Mothers and Children’ – Maternal and Child Health
- ‘Supporting Education’ – Basic Education and Literacy through Literacy
- ‘Growing Local Economies’ – Economic and Community Development
With these achievements, the club continues its award winning tradition.
