POLICE ARRESTS TWO FOR ARMED ROBBERY

On Monday May 18th at approximately 8 p.m. several police patrols and detectives were sent to Cheng Supermarket located on the A. Th. Illidge where shortly before two unknown men dressed completely in black, with their face covered and each armed with a gun had stormed into the establishment. While threatening the cashier with their weapons they managed to rob the supermarket. After committing this act both suspects fled behind of the building towards the sand banks of the Ring road. During the search by the investigating officers two young men fitting the description of the suspects were encountered in the vicinity of the Zoo. Both suspects with the initials D.J.W (18) and M.D.R.M. (15) were arrested on the scene and taken to the Philipsburg Police Station where they remain in custody for further investigation.
