ST. PETERS COMMUNITY COUNCIL ON BOARD VROMI COLLABORATIVE EFFORTS

Ministry of Public Housing, Environment, Spatial Development and Infrastructure (VROMI) Department of Infrastructure Management hosted a meeting with the St. Peters Community Council and CPO last night, inaugurating the long-term collaboration of the council in assisting both the ministry and the KPSM in effectively executing responsibilities and enhancing the quality of life for the residents of St. Peters.

The St. Peters Community Council is the second assisting group to join the effort which was initiated with the South Reward Community Council last week. Ministry VROMI is experiencing positive growth to the tri-party assembly.

Attendees acknowledged a joint responsibility in the activities going forward to assure a fruitful collaboration that would generate the desired results. Next steps discussed includes an inventory of critical issues and concerns that require immediate attention, follow-up meetings with the council and relevant stakeholders to establish and execute a plan of approach, and measurement tools to identify best practices and overall progress.

St. Peters Community Council President, Natasha Manuela confirmed that the initiative is a well needed assistance in the area of St. Peters and “We will do our part,” she said, to create the environment her council desires for the entire community of St. Peters.
