Island Gems Charity Foundation recently donated a large quantity of arts and craft supplies to Sister Basilia Centre. The items will be used by the centre’s clients and residents to create projects that are educational and fun. The all-women Island Gems Foundation are committed to assisting institutions such as Sister Basilia Centre on both sides of the island. Funds to support community projects are gathered at the group’s only fundraising event – an annual themed gala dinner. The next gala dinner at Captain Oliver’s restaurant is on Saturday, March 28, 2015.
