Follow-up in the Stop, Drop and Go-project.

The program goes very well! Today, Tuesday (until 16.00 uur), 11 (!) illegal fire-arms have been brought to the office of the Attorney General (see attached pictures). Among the fire-arms were various revolvers and pistols of various calibers. This means the total of the handed fire-arms is 17 thus far.

The Public Prosecution Service and the police are very satisfied with the cooperation of the people of Sint Maarten.

Anyone who wants to surrender a fire-arm can do this every day from 8:30am to 4.30pm at the Attorney General’s office, Wellfare Road #68 in Simpson Bay. Stop, drop and go runs until October 31, 2014.

Advise:
By submitting a firearm, it is important not just to walk on the street with the firearm. Please be advised to put the fire-arm in a brown paper bag and transport it in a plastic bag. Please remove any bullets from the barrel.
