The Division for Educational Innovations (DEI) in collaboration with SIFMA has recently concluded the Professional Development Management Training workshops for managers/directors of daycare centers on St. Maarten.
The main purpose of the training was to expand the knowledge and skills needed for mangers/ directors to bring their schools up to standard in professionalism. The training started in April 2013 and concluded in June 2014 with a total of 13 sessions and 9 facilitators.
The modules presented were Budgeting, Personnel Management, The Importance of Play, The High Scope Curriculum, The Transitioning from Early Childhood to Foundation Based Education and Nutrition.
On June 25th 2014 the training was officially finalized with a small ceremony celebrating the success of the program and the dedication of all participants. The participants were all presented with a certificate of participation acknowledging the sessions completed for the training. Facilitators were also thanked for their participation and presented with a certificate of appreciation.
