Prime Minister Wescot-Williams Expresses Condolences, Sadness at Passing of Richard Anton Luckert

“We have lost one of the most important contributors to the development of St. Maarten”

 

From the Cabinet of the Prime Minister- The Prime Minister of St. Maarten the Honorable Sarah Wescot-Williams expressed her sincerest condolences and sadness at the passing of Richard Anton Luckert. “It is with much sadness that I express my condolences to the family of Richard Anton Luckert, or Boy as we affectionately knew him. Boy was the Head of the Finance Department on St. Maarten and also served as Acting Lieutenant Governor. After his resignation from the Civil Service Mr. Luckert contributed greatly to the development of our island through his participation in the real estate industry and the building of the Palapa Marina in Simpson Bay, one of the premier yacht destinations in the region. Again I would like to express my condolences and say that the whole family is in my thoughts and prayers,” commented Prime Minister Wescot-Williams.
