West Indies lose toss, fielding vs New Zealand – 2nd Test

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad – West Indies lost the toss and chose to field against New Zealand on the opening day of the second Test on Monday at Queen’s Park Oval here.
The Windies have made three changes, bringing opener Kraigg Brathwaite, batsman Jermaine Blackwood and fast bowler Shannon Gabriel in to replace Kieran Powell, Marlon Samuels and Shane Shillingford.
● Off-spinner Shillingford has a sore Achilles and misses this Test
● Blackwood makes his Test debut, becoming the 298th player to wear the Windies’ maroon cap. He was presented with his Test cap by batting legend Brian Lara just before the players took the field.
The hosts trail 0-1 in the three-Test series, following a 186-run defeat in the first Test which ended inside four days last Wednesday at Sabina Park in Jamaica.
