St. Martin Pony League’s 2014 All Stars Games Continued:

Dutch Side tied the series by defeating French Side 7 – 4

In connection with the upcoming Caribbean Zone Games of Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, on Friday Saturday and Sunday the pre-selection players were intensively practicing under the leadership of Jason Vasguez and new Coach Carlos Vargas.

On Sunday afternoon it was time for the big players and in what could be called once again a great baseball game the second game of the 2014 All Stars game took place between French and Dutch ST. Martin. The game started with French Side taking a 3-1 lead in the early part of the game. Jonathan Ministrie was on the mound for the French Side and dominated the Dutch Side Batter with a combination of slow curves and fast balls. The Dutch Side responded with one run but in the latter part of the game they tied the game on a triple of Victor Polanco Guillen and a double of Jason Vasguez. Dutch Side went ahead 7 – 3. In their last at bat the French Side only manage to score one more run but not enough. Dutch Side won 7 – 4 and tied the series. The series will continue this Sunday and will be open to all baseball players 15 and older.
