In a match organized on the 1st of March by the Saint Martin Football Association and the United Stars, players from the Oualichi women’s and youth teams both played matches against the teams from French St. Martin.
The women won with three goals scored against the opposing team with a final score of 3-1. The goals were scored by Danae Daal (2) and Geanne van de Werff (1). The youth team kept the pressure on until the very last minute when the French St. Martin youth team scored one goal resulting with a win of 1-0. The game was organized in the spirit of the upcoming International Women’s Day and to bring more awareness for women’s soccer on both sides of the island.
