For us on St. Maarten it is important to take this information and collectively decide how we can move forward as a country with regards to our international relations. As we have often spoken about here on St. Maarten it is good to know that our country is starting to portray ourselves to the outer world in terms of our international representation. There are many opportunities out there which we can tap into in the realm of international cooperation that will move St. Maarten forward," stressed the Prime Minister.

In order for us to maximize the potential that St. Maarten has as a country we need to jointly decide on a course forward and we need to ask ourselves what we should do with the potential regarding the opportunities that are out there for St. Maarten as a country in the Caribbean Region and indeed part of the bigger world. We need to be able to step up to the plate and come up with a joint approach on how to move St. Maarten forward socially, economically and administratively," concluded the Prime Minister.
