Prime Minister Meets With Regional Lions Representatives

Praises Service Clubs for Contribution to the Community

The Prime Minister of St. Maarten the Honorable Sarah Wescot-Williams Received a Courtesy Visit of the Local and Regional Chapters of the Lions Clubs who were on St. Maarten for the organization’s mid-year conference held recently at the Sonesta Maho Resort. 

The Prime Minister thanked the Lions Representatives for their service to the community and for being involved in building the country. "I am happy to be able to meet with you today and express my gratitude to the Lion’s Club and indeed all service clubs for the important contribution that you have made to the development of St. Maarten," commented the Prime Minister.

Some 200 Lions coming from District 60 A and 60 B are on the island for the series of workshops, seminars and meetings, including first Vice President of Lions International, Joe Preston.
